Terms of use
These terms govern your use of glovebox.co.nz and the GLOVBX mobile app, operated by Digital Glovebox Ltd ("GLOVBX", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
GLOVBX is a platform that lets vehicle owners keep vehicle records in one place and post service requests, and lets service providers respond to those requests with quotes. We are a platform, not a repairer or service provider: the contract for any vehicle work is between you and the provider you book. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or completion of any work arranged through the service.
2. Beta service
GLOVBX is currently in an invite-only beta. Features may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn without notice, and data entered during the beta may need to be migrated or reset. We will give reasonable notice of any change that affects your stored records.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. You may only add vehicles you own or are authorised to manage; ownership changes may require confirmation before records update.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not post false, misleading or fraudulent service requests or quotes.
- Do not use the service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the operation of the service.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
5. Quotes and bookings
Quotes are made by providers, not by us, and may be estimates subject to inspection. Accepting a quote creates a booking directly between you and the provider. Cancellations, changes, payment and any disputes about the work are matters between you and the provider, though you can contact us and we will assist where we reasonably can.
6. Fees
The service is free for vehicle owners. Provider fees, if any, will be published before they take effect; during the beta, responding to requests is free for providers.
7. Your content
You own the documents and information you store in your glovebox. You grant us a licence to host, display and process that content solely to provide the service. Keep your own copies of important documents; the service is a convenience, not a system of record for legal purposes.
8. Reminders are informational
WOF, registration, service and insurance reminders depend on the information entered and on notification delivery, and may be inaccurate, delayed or missed. You remain responsible for keeping your vehicle legal and roadworthy.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other New Zealand consumer law that cannot be excluded. Where you use the service for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to NZ$100, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts or omissions of providers or owners you deal with through the platform.
10. Intellectual property
The GLOVBX name, logo, app and website are owned by Digital Glovebox Ltd. You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer the service except as permitted by law.
11. Ending your use
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or where required by law. On closure, our privacy policy governs what happens to your information.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
